The fact that you're reading a cat food review tells me you like to do your research. So then you probably know that cats are obligate carnivores, which means they only eat meat. They hunt hundreds of species of bugs and birds and small rodents and mammals. So if you want to save money on vet bills, you gotta feed your cat wet food. Just look at the ingredient list, fancy feast is the cheapest wet food with protein as the main ingredient. Don't bother with grains and starches. I've been feeding my cat fancy feast for his entire life, everyone always comments on how soft and healthy his coat is.For a while i was going crazy and buying frozen raw food, but I worried about bacteria and contamination. I looked into making food (obligate carnivores, just give them some meat, right?) wrong. Remember when I mentioned they hunt like 237 species? They eat mostly meat, but they also need crazy stuff like taurine and other weird things cats get from eating bugs and spiders and birds I guess. Anyway it's hard to get the balance right and you could very easily make your cat sick if you're not extremely careful. My cat has tried all the meat seafood cans and he seems to love chicken and turkey the best.If you can afford to go with the organic free range all singing all dancing stuff, you probably wouldn't even bother reading this. But if like me, you love your cat and are also on a budget: go with the ingredient list, go with the price per can. Do the math: it's always been fancy feast.

What can I say, my cats love it. I would definitely recommend this to all you cat lovers. Great price and great quality. Also shop from Vitapet’s. We got this [[ASIN:B01N8XE12U Vitapet Probiotic Powder Blend For Dogs and Cats with 5 Billion CFU Per Serving] for an adopted shelter . The vet recommended that I keep my Rosie on flora probiotic she's doing great I will make sure that she stays healthy from here on by using Vitapet’s probiotic. Thank you!

What the he-double toothpicks has happened to the FF chicken classic pate? Instead of the nice brown color and smoothness, it has been a whitish color and it is not its usual smooth texture. It doesn't look nearly the same or as appetizing, and it's frightening. I was hoping recent purchases were anomalies, but the chicken classic has been a wan-looking, pasty color, and a chunkier texture, both alone and in mixed cases lately. What color is melamine? It makes me think of past pet food recalls. We are purchasing pet food on the good-faith that manufacturers and shippers maintain the appropriate quality control measures to ensure our pets' well-being. Other reviewers on different dates have commented on sudden changes in the cat food texture and/or color change. Whether it is due to storage issues at FFor A's, quality control must be enforced; otherwise, FF should change its labeling when the appearance suddenly changes like this. It is not good enough that FF writes a comment that asks the individual reviewers to reach out to FF. FF should be reaching out to US. I am very concerned and unhappy.

Our cats are pampered. Schumacher and Maggie Mae are rescues who had a difficult start in life. That's why we're committed to making their current lives happier and healthier. My wife does lots of research on the "best" foods for our pets so I was surprised that she picked this supermarket brand for our girls. She says that the reviews by pet experts say there may be other brands that are considered to be of higher quality, but Fancy Feast is rated highly by 90% of the users (Google search results) and even more important, our cats love it. We have no digestion issues, no urinary tract issues and they seem to be thriving. Our Vet gives them an annual checkup and he says "keep doing what you're doing".Recommended

My two kitties enjoy a diet of all natural top of the line cat food, but they are not above enjoying a little "junk food" now and then. I ran out of their natural brand between shipments and went to the supermarket where I grabbed a few cans of Fancy Feast, not even looking at what flavor it was. The kits were pawing at the can as soon as I popped the top and started gobbling the food before it even hit the dish! I was shocked! None the less, I can't help calling Fancy Feast Roasted Chicken "junk food", since chicken,( which is "supposed" to be in the can---and, by the way, ROASTED !!!! if we are to believe the label), is listed in a distant fifth place, after fish broth, meat by products, salmon, and wheat gluten. I care about what goes into the pets' food as much as I do my own and I have seen the benefits of a good healthy diet on their general health, appearance and well being... however, that being said, I can't see the harm in indulging in some tasty little food by products now and again...we all need a junk food fix now and again, and since the kitties love it so much, it makes me happy to give it to them as a treat.

Fancy Feast has been a pretty consistent brand that the various picky felines I've known would eat well if they don't have a flavor or texture objection. Four stars for this one only because this flavor is one that my generally fish preferring cat ate more reluctantly, I suspect because the gravy is darker, but who knows. So I will just put four stars so that I don't accidentally think this is a flavor I should stock up on, but I do not have any complaints about the quality, packaging or price of this product.

Absolutely my cat's favorite! Actually I haven't ran into a cat that didn't like fancy feast. The Small cans are the perfect size, no waste and the flip tip lid is convenient. The food is always fresh as well and it has decent ingredients without a ton of unnecessary, unhealthy fillers. Price is good too. I give each kitty one can a day ( morning) and then some dry food at night.

The combination of tiny bites and gravy makes Fancy Feast Marinated Morsels our little Burmese cat's choice of moist food. Fish is his favorite (he finishes it all at once) but we limit that to twice a week for reasons of his urinary tract health. However, Simba enjoys all the FF Marinated Morsels and I recommend this product for all kittys. I've always read labels on cat food and Fancy Feast has decidedly more protein than any other name brand. The frosting on the cake is the free shipping and convenience of subscription for this and all the other Marinated Morsel varieties. These are not always available at the pet store, frequently not available at the grocery store -- and almost always more expensive, even if on sale. I LOVE this subscription program!
